I'm going to buy a parafin bath for my poor arthritic hands and feet. I'm going with a higher grade one than you find at department stores. I have to choose between one that has an anodized aluminum insert and a stainless steel one. I'm thinking since the wax is pretty much always heated to 125-135F, it might be best to get the stainless steel one. My concerns are with the aluminum. I don't know if the aluminum could end up being absorbed into my skin, if I use it alot? I like the anodized aluminum one, but do have concerns about the aluminum. Any ideas?
Thanks.

I don't know that I'd be concerned with aluminim absorbtion, but I'd probably go with the stainless none-the-less just to be safe. Pharmaceutical manufacturers require stainless for everything that may come into contact with their product, including things that workers may touch during the production process, such as doors. There's a reason for that!

My immune specialist advised me to go with stainless over aluminum in everything.

Thanks Alan and reader. Some of the ones with anodized aluminum are said to be some class of medical device. I find that a little disconcerting that they'd okay heated aluminum. I think I'll go with the stainless steel one. But.....there seems to only be one that I can find with stainless steel that isn't outrageously expensive (Theraband). The only thing that concerns me is that they have a big disclaimer saying that sometimes the manufacturer changes things and they aren't responsible. :( Surely advertising that it has a stainless steel liner is something they wouldn't change without being responsible for it. I'll try to call the company.

I avoid aluminum everything.
