Recently I have had some annoying issues with Verizon. I had a cell phone lost or stolen last October and filed a claim with my cell phone insurance and was quickly given a replacement which unfortunately broke down last week. So I filed another claim and was sent a very nice replacement phone - very nice until I found out that I needed a data plan for this phone and no one told me. I could not send the phone back to the cell phone insurance company as they dropped me after filing two claims, as is their policy, and Verizon gave me the runaround. So for $105 I am getting out of the contract and switched to Cricket - at a cost of $39 a month for unlimited talk and text vs. the $99.93 I was paying at Verizon. (which would have went up with the data plan by $30 a month or more). Once I did the math I realized this is actually a good thing as I have no use for an elaborate phone, and only need the basic phone with the ability to yack without worrying about overages. THANK YOU VERIZON FOR PUSHING ME IN THE DIRECTION OF SAVING SIXTY DOLLARS PLUS A MONTH!!!!! And that's all, rant done. Rob (call me no more contracts period)
