I've got the bug, the spring fever bug! Yay! We've had some really exceptional days, and I can almost smell it, spring. Even though it's a little early yet to get c*cky as to what winter still holds, I can see light at the end of the tunnel, and it has me dancing with happiness and glee today! Just knowing spring is so close and on it's way!

Blue skies, warm days, the birds dropping by for a visit, the spring-air freshness/scent that the new season brings, the flowers and buds, I can't wait!!!

Have you got the bug?

Yes. I'm thinking of planting some lettuce and spinach seeds (bought yesterday when the sun was melting our big 3" snow) even though I run the risk of a March freeze.

Spring fever here, too....down along the Mexican border in AZ.....the first spring wildflowers are popping through here in the desert, the sun is warm, the days are getting measurably longer.....we didn't have to tilt the solar photovoltaic panels at this stop because the sun is now high enough in the sky for us not to need that extra ooomph of tilting the panels to get a better angle when the sun is so low in the sky........

YAY...spring.......no Punxatawny Phil down HERE.......(no winter, either). ;-)

Snow on the ground here this past week, only time so far this "winter". Looks like the forecast will get it melted in the next week or so. Works for me! Still another month at the very least till we start to think about being in the clear from more snow and ice, though. My calendar is moving faster than Mother Nature's.

Honestly, this winter has been so mild, I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop. It'd be lovely to have an early spring, but I have memories of a big snow storm in April many years ago, that took down power lines and caused all sorts of trouble, because no one was expecting it. (April 29, 1987. Dropped over a foot of snow on Boston, much more on New Hampshire.)

I'm keeping my fingers crossed, though, because I'm starting to see trees budding. I'd hate for a freeze to come along and kill everything that's started to grow.

It's 45 degrees here today, and it kinda smells like spring. What a contrast to Monday when my car slid diagonally down a hill for about 1/2 block and then continued to slide for another block once I turned a corner. All I could do was pray my car would stop before I hit Main Street. I never shook so hard in my life. So I could really use a good dose of spring. Even for a couple of days.

Yep, fever's biting here in North Carolina, too! Got outside and did some yard work--snipping here and there, pulling up some sticky/pricky vines, raking, brooming up some fallen leaves and dreaming about bright flowers. It was a very pretty day here after a spell of cold weather...the sun and fresh air did me good!

So lovely hearing from you all. The arrival of each spring season (around our house) is always such a busy time, but once things are in order, there's nothing like being able to start opening things up again for the season, and enjoying all that the new season brings. For me, spring, is my happy season!
