Fun social interlude ideas needed?

A group of friends meet weekly for listening to lectures and discussion. One of the group has invited us to her house for an afternoon interlude. The others are playing the piano, singing with a long successful history of performing and I need to come up with some unique ideas for an activity to perform.
I did look at my poetry anthologies for something to read and found one short fun one on dogs by Rudyard Kipling. We all have dogs.

These are all very accomplished and knowledgeable women so the standard is fun but still quite high.
Any ideas welcome!

One of my very favorite bookstores, now long gone, had an annual dress up as an author & read their works aloud. If you're into a bit of theatre, this is very much good fun. Especially is you cross-dress!
