:idea:Billy, the older cat, who is not in hospital, just had a major addict attack to my head. He was rubbing and nipping my hair and generally making an addictive idiot of himself. Guess what - I just came from the pool and he could smell the chlorine, which apparently is kitty cocaine. Go figger.

Maybe it's Billy's way of coping with your other cat being in the hospital? Kitty koping mechanism?

LOL

That is so funny! Sometimes my cat will bite at my head if I am laying in the bed...she is a nibbler though when she wants attention. Same cat will come lick DH's underarms if he is in bed with his arm over his head - weird! I am not sure if she is attracted to the sweat or the antiperspirant. I think its the sweat because she will also lay on my shoes.

I looked it up. A lot of cats go crazy for bleach. They love the smell. Anyhow if you ever come home with your own bleachead, let your cat try to climb on your head. Mine was sitting on top of my head biting my hair - and he is 17 lbs. How's that for a picture?

My cat loves ALL lotions, potions and cosmetics. She comes running to me if I've just applied hand lotion. She licks product on my head if she positions herself on the couch above me. She licks my face when I apply makeup and she has the chance. She's a total chemical addict.

My male cat goes nuts for bleached laundry. It is insane, but it makes for good holiday pictures..

he did it again last night. He went crazy for my hair. I held him like a baby (a huge on) on my shoulder and he went nuts and then he fell asleep, deep asleep. This is an amazing experience. Try it with your cat. Not all cats respond. Our baby, now home from hospital, doesn't care for bleach at all.

no kally, I will not. I am not a cat drug enabler. Shame on you.

:laff:

seriously, I didn't know this about cats and I've had cats all of my life. I don't know how to carry out an experiment here. I don't want to dip my head in chlorine. Suggestions?

just working with bleach and rinsing off your hands might make them smell great. Or try some bleached laundry. I think he is very happy and high on bleach. Now if I could just get him off my head.....

This isn't my cat, but it is pretty well what happened to me.
