DH & I just got a text from DSD that she has a grad school offer! Full tuition waiver & an assistantship in her field, leading to a MFA. YAY!!!!

She's going to visit the school before saying yes, but I do believe she's gonna say yes! Holy smokes. She's a stage & set designer. Theatre is her deep passion, and she's pursued it academically. Tonight is the opening of her final play in undergrad; she graduates in May.

With a MFA, she would be quite employable. I am so excited. This is the girl who blew out of high school to shack up with an alcoholic, abusive BF. She has struggled. It's so freaking gratifying to hear this news. Thanks for being there to 'hear' it!

WOw, I am impressed. As a momma of seriously creatively talented kids I have some idea of how dedicated and talented you need to be for that package in grad school.

And you have given me some hope since one of my kiddos is more in the 'learning stage', I am so glad that she is out of a negative situation.

That's fantastic news. I'm glad to see the arts being supported in this way as well.
