I remember you sharing a story about one of your sisters a while back, and how she was staying with you, recovering from a car accident. I have thought about her many times since you sharing the story with me, and was wondering how she is doing.

Thanks for thinking of my sister, Mrs. M!

Her broken arm is healed and back to normal. She had a big cut on her forehead that she was afraid was going to leave a noticeable scar, but the hospital got a plastic surgeon to stitch it up and once the redness fades, it's going to be hard to see. A little makeup will make it invisible if she wants.

The big problem is her leg. It got twisted up really badly and while no bones were broken, a lot of tendons and ligaments were twisted or torn. She's walking with a cane and getting physical therapy, but it's going to be several more months before things get back to normal, if they ever do. There's talk of surgery to try to fix things, but no one is completely sure that surgery would help a whole lot. She's back home now. Either my brother or I stops by once a week to handle any chores and things she can't do on her own, like getting the lawn chairs out and such.

I got to see some pictures of the crash scene. Her car was basically squashed between two other vehicles, both of them much bigger than her car. We are really, really lucky she survived the crash.

And thanks to insurance she has a lovely new car.

Thanks you for the update, Miss Cellane. So happy to hear your sister is making good solid progress and getting better, doubly happy to know she has loving care. Sending extended well-wishes her way (and prayers).
