You have to read this with a sense of humor, okay?
As some of you recall, about 2 weeks ago, I found a dead cat along the road. It appeared to be the stray cat that had spent a fair amount of time on our property. I took it home and buried it, since I sort of knew it from all its wanderings on our property.
Well, now I'm seeing another cat that looks just like it, wandering our property. Makes me wonder if I buried the wrong cat. :~)

It doesn't really matter. I felt good about what I did......But its sort of funny, if I burried a different cat.

Yes, funny indeed! CathyA, do you know who Stephen King is? And are you familiar with one of his works, Pet Sematary? LMAO!

Well, I think if you call this one Zombie, people might be offended but it's good to have a good day. :)

CathyA that so reminds me of high school. I had a cat that liked to waunder off. I saw him dead on the side of the highway and stopped to pick him up and bring him home to bury him. My dad was wondering why I'd returned home instead of getting to school. I was in tears and crying over the cat. Dad said "Thats not Zanzibar" which got me even more upset and I was yelling "don't you think I'd know my own cat?" Dad replied "The wrong leg is white". I looked at dad, looked at the cat, looked back at dad and said "What do I do with this dead cat that isn't mine?"
We buried him anyway (must of been a relative of Zanzibar) and Zanzibar came home for one last visit before running off to never return.

Oh That's funny Float On! (but I'm sorry Zanzibar didn't stay around longer).
It (like the cat I found) must be from the same litter?
Haha.........its just all very humorous!

I might be wrong, but I believe, in the universal karma game, you get extra points for burying with such care an unknown wanderer.

Hi Cathy:
For the longest time we thought the neighbor's cat just wanted to visit us... A LOT... Long story short, he ended up being our garage cat and he is identical to the neighbor's cat... well, except he's a boy and the neighbor's cat is a girl :D

Peggy.........if I got some extra karma points, then why did my washer break down? :~)

Maybe it was about to cause a fire, and the universe saved you by making it break down instead :D

Well, now that just might be pay back for the 3 roaches and the fly you killed last week. What goes around comes around.:~)

Just wanted to share - we had a black cat many years ago that got out of the house and went missing. We looked everywhere for that cat, but no luck. Later that week I was driving home and saw a black cat, obviously dead on the side of the highway near our house. I stopped, got out of the car and took a closer look, then shed a few tears, picked up the poor kitty and took it home and my DH buried it, while we tried to figure out how to tell our 3 year old DD who was very attached to the cat.

A couple days later when my DH came home from work (he worked nights) a black cat met him at our front door. He came in our bedroom and woke me up by putting the cat in bed with me. I screamed with surprise then joy, as it really was our kitty this time! :) She had 4 adorable kittens shortly after that. Apparently she had been out cattin' around, so to speak, that week....and we in turn had buried someone else's cat. I felt bad that I was never able to find the owner of that cat. Our black cat, Seena, lived to be 18 years old. We miss her to this day...

It is truly amazing how much some cats looks alike, especially solid black ones! :D

Wow......sounds like burying the "wrong" cat isn't that unusual!
I saw the gray cat again yesterday out by our woodshed.........eating a bird. :(
Ohhh.....the yin and yang of it all!
