Ok, this is just too weird. Looking at my yahoo mail spam folder just now and saw spam from my own address! How can this be? I didn't open it, but it said it came from me. Spam for a watch or something.
If one of you computer people could explain this to me I would appreciate it. I mean, am I spamming other people with this?:(

It's called email spoofing. Simple to do and increases the odds that you'll open the email. http://searchsecurity.techtarget.com/definition/email-spoofing

In its simplest form, a spoofer just needs to change the display name in their email client, although spammers go the extra mile and write macros which may substitute the legitimate sending address with the receiving address while emailing in bulk. You can usually trace them back to their original sender by digging into the email headers behind the scenes.

I get that everyday too. Which is funny because I never wear a watch and here I am trying to sell one to myself. I just keep blocking 'myself' but somehow about three days later 'I find myself' again.

OK, I think i understand. But am i spamming anyone else to buy watches? It's not going through my address book is it? Should I worry about this or like Float On, just delete?

It's doubtful that anyone else is getting emails spoofed with your address, although entirely possible. If spammers somehow got your address book, your contacts would be getting them from you. If that's not the case, I'd just delete and forget.

Who are these spammers & spoofers?
Aren't they in any way concerned about all of the bad karma they are creating for themselves?

I' wonder that too. Are there really people who would buy from a spam from themselves? I mean they might open it out of curiosity but buy?
And hackers! I've always wondered about them too. I guess i can understand if someone is hacking to gain financially, but those who just hack, or write viruses. What's the point? Simply anarchy, or meanness?
