It is a little warm here today. It is supposed to be near 90, and it feels like it. Got me thinking about popsicles and smoothies for the summer. Susie and I made pina colada popsicles today. What kinds of popsicles do you make, and what kinds of smoothies? Just looking for some different ideas.

I usually make popsicles from leftover smoothies. Mine are all fruit-based, generally dairy-free and always sugar-free, and depend on what I have in the house. DD's favorite this week was banana-peach-pineapple withe coconut. I really like banana-blueberry.

We used to have Tupperware popsicle makers as a kids and we would make lemonade pops or Kool-Aid pops. Mom never made them, only us kids :) I should see if my mom still has them. We would enjoy some smoothie pops, too.

I asked my Mom if she still had her old tupperware popsicle set - she sent me the "sticks"/handles - might need to buy a set from Amazon - would like to try my own with fruit in a lemonade base.

I stewed some apricots and then froze them. They would make great popsicles! I've been eating it like an Italian ice. Delicious! You could do it with all different kinds of fruit.

Yummy ideas here. The pina colada popsicles were a hit and so easy. Just pineapple juice and cream of coconut. Since I don't care for coconut, Susie was the taster. She and Alana both said they are perfect. Thanks for your help, Susie! I thought the girls would trun themselves inside out waiting for them to freeze!

fidgiegirl I just bought some Tupperware popsicle makers at a rummage sale yesterday. Can't wait to make some popsicles or pudding pops.

Oh, no! I just realized I posted this in Family Matters and relationships instead of Food! Maybe a Mod can move it for me? I think I had a senior moment yet again. So sorry.
