Just wanted to post that I will be starting a blog next week based on my experiences in Los Algodones, Mexico - going down there with my mother for 5 to 7 days as she needs dental work done and won't go down by herself - and shouldn't as she is still on a cane and sometimes a walker. So the point is I will be there for several days and will have TIME for once in my life to actually do some thinking and also to start up this blog. I also will take photos and (try to) incorporate video.....Should be interesting.....Rob

Sounds very interesting Rob. Keep us posted. Good luck to your mother. I hope everything comes out OK. From what I've heard, it should go OK and your mom will get excellent care.

Hi everyone, thanks for the kind words and encouragement. I came back to Phoenix late yesterday and will more than likely be done with the blog by next Monday.....right now I am getting a framework together of my experiences on different days and what I want to cover and what is just fluff.....Probably I am being a little anal in putting this together but it is my first real blog and it is about something I care about and believe in, I want it to be of decent quality.....Once it is done I will come back and let you'all know.....Rob

Looking forward to your blog Rob. I also don't have dental insurance and would like to hear more about your experiences using a dentist in Mexico. I get the usual cleanings and just pay cash here in the USA but if I ever needed something expensive - like a crown - I may decide to go down mexico-way for that. Anyone else (Loose Chickens?) used a dentist in Mexico. Especially in a Calif border town like TJ or Rosarita Beach?
