I like to keep track of the days I spend not one cent, including credit cards. It saves gas and forces me to consolidate errands.....and, hopefully, saves money. It is such a good feeling to walk in the park instead of the mall! Anyway, I think you get what I mean.

Yesterday was a no spend day....leftovers for dinner and a walk with the dog.

What do you do with your no spend days? How many in a row can you rack up?? How many per month?

I agree. This is a good way for me to cut down on my spending.

Yesterday I did all my grocery shopping and some other errands. So today will be a no-spend day.

Tomorrow though, I have to buy a new air conditioner. So that's going to be ugly!

Almost thought this was a no spend day but then remembered that DH wrote a check for trash pickup. If you pay for the year, you get one month free.

"No spend days" are always good days (for me). It's my chance to catch-up on loose-ends, maybe prepare something special in the way of a dessert or meal for the family, and just relax. Of course the savings are nice, too.

I regularly rack-up handfuls of no-spend days (at a time/per month), with just one, maybe two, spend-days per week. Having a large family tends to put a bit of a damper on my ability to exercise greater no-spend days, but I'm pleasantly pleased with my success nonetheless.

P.S. A big warm welcome to you, Brooklynn!

Mrs. M--I'm sure it is difficult with a family.

I live alone and so am in complete control of when I spend. If I try I'm usually able to have only 6 spend days per month. I find tracking spend days really makes it a lot easier to not spend money.

Leftovers to eat as a characteristic of no-spend days?

I am *less* likely to eat leftovers on no-spend days - as those days I'm more likely to have *time* to *cook*.

All other factors being equal, of course.
