I already have pulsatile tinnitus all the time. But recently, I've developed some morse code in my one ear. Beep....Beeeeeep...Be..Beep....Beeeeeep....Beeb... .Beeb.Bee...Beeeep. Its kind of a tinny sound. I'm thinking maybe an alien is trying to communicate with me?? :~)
Seriously though, its pretty irritating. No wax. Maybe too much salt and/or caffeine. I've started taking some Mucinex and drinking alot of water. Hopefully it goes away. Its pretty irritating.......

Well, of course now you know you have to decipher the code and let us know what it is saying...don't' know Morse code myself, but there are books out there...I'm just saying...

LOL! I was thinking the same thing..........deciphering it. Maybe it would say....."earthling, meet us in your back woods on the next full moon"...........or maybe it would be "tomatoes are $1.00/lb at Safeway".........hahaha..
They used to say that some people could pick up radio transmissions with their amalgam fillings. Maybe this is something like that?? >8)

Try using a neti pot. I have found it really helpful for tinnitus in the past. I hate it when it gets tinny and feels like your brain is vibrating!!
Caffeine could make it worse for sure. I have really low blood pressure and that has been a contributing factor to my hearing problems.
Also, make sure to sleep on your good ear.
I hope it goes away soon!

Thanks Gardenarian. I was wondering how your hearing problems are doing. I hope they're getting better.

Having my hearing off really throws me into a spasm! I'm sure you can relate to that.

I have begun to use my homemade nasal spray again. It definitely helps with my eustachian tube. The one on my right must be really small.
When I've used a neti pot in the past, water gets trapped in my lower sinuses! I've had sinus surgeries to make those "windows" larger, so that's probably why the water ends up there.
I think my ear has been working on this for awhile. I've been hearing music when it isn't there! It might be time to go back to the ear doc, but I'm hoping this will pass on its own.
I hope you're doing better!

Hi CathyA, was looking over an aromatherapy chart today and noticed that they recommended some oils for ringing in the ears:

Tinnitus / Ringing in Ears Lavender, Geranium, Peppermint

You can pick them up at a health food store. I would try the lavender -- you can put 2 drops behind the effected ear and just lightly rub in that area.

Hope this helps.... ;)
