Can you do math in your dreams?

Last night I dreamt I had to calculate 12*70. So knowing that I couldn't do it the normal way while asleep, I did 6*70=420, then multiplied that by 2 to get 840.:+1:

I can speak Spanish in my dreams. I'm always surprised at my fluency. Ha!

I can!! I use to be an estimator for a large printing company.
I would often dream about my work and on a few occasions I realized that I had miscalculated something I was quoting and would come up with the answer in my dreams. Sure enough I was correct!! I once saved myself from misquoting a job by $10,000.

No not sucessfully. But when learning new stuff that requires heavy left brain involvement in the day I have had dreams of math problems I am unable to solve, I guess I have had many such dreams, of just pure frustration, banging my head against a wall, going round and round and round in circles and being unable to solve the problem. Nightmares of a sort yes. I wake up stressed out.

Symmetry groups of squares and triangles and volumes of irregular pyramids.

I don't know why.

Yes! When I was a kid and I was stuck on a math problem I'd go to bed thinking about it and a lot of the time I'd dream the answer. Very handy!

This is fascinating that some people can get answers in their dreams! I once had a friend that had a pain somewhere and in her sleep she dreamt that her chiropractor gave her an adjustment and she felt better the next day!!! Could have been the dream or maybe not who knows! Interesting though!;)

I have read that most people are unable to read written text in their dreams. One way to tell if you are dreaming (pinching yourself doesn't work!) is to find something in writing and try to read it. The words will change before your eyes. Likewise a clock. It is close to impossible to tell the time in a dream.

I was, in my dream, buying quarts of half and half, which I know, awake, cost 1.69. I don't know how many quarts I was buying in my dream, but I remember that the total came to 5.07, which, when I woke up, I realized was the price for three quarts.

In my dreams is the only place I can do math. I don't know that I ever have. I dreamed French puns once, that was odd considering I took French decades ago and have no occasion to speak it. Last night my dream stopped cold when it got a computer error message. That woke me up.

I was a theatre major, so my equivalent to the "unprepared math test" were nightmares that I thought we had just started rehearsals, but all of a sudden it was opening night and I hadn't even memorized my lines or my blocking!!

I'm not sure if I've done math, but I work in IT and there have been many a dream where I have programmed in my dreams. DH says he knows he is too wrapped up in a project if he is coding in his dreams, lol.

I always need to finish a Spanish class to graduate. Then I can't find the bus, or I miss my plane. I can't even do it right in my dreams.
