I have some good news: I got the full time job in the library where I was working part time!

(Well, I've been working in a public library for the summer. This is the other, college library).

I should be starting next week, with benefits, etc. I'm kind of stunned--it's been over three years since I've had a "real job" and I feel rather exhausted, as well as elated, a little worried about adjusting to the salary/hours/coworkers, etc.

In the meantime, I am very, very grateful.

Thank you to everybody here who listened to me rant, complain, cry, ask for advice--THANK YOU ALL!!!

And about the exhaustion (I am at the first week back for my school year job) I get everything for packed lunches on Sunday, get all my clothes ready for the week, and go to bed early a lot.

Welcome back to full time work! You'll get used to it, don't worry and think about the bigger paychecks and benefits. You may be able to take free college classes and also know about lots of cultural concerts, plays etc. that the college offers its students! Jealous!!!

I don't have a starting date yet (has something to do with the inevitable paperwork and human resources) but it will be this coming week for certain.

Are you going to just have the one FT job then? I think it's easier to ease into one FT job, as opposed to juggling two PT jobs. Either way, I'm so happy that it worked out.
