Lhamo pointed out in the Dinners for $3 and under thread that lots of SLers do even better than that. So this is a thread for meals under $1 a serving.

Bonus points if it's reasonably healthy and reasonably well balanced too.;)

If the meal is under 33 cents a serving there is a different thread especially for those.

Which of your meals are under $1?

Recently some of the food stamp challenges have been at the 50 cents a meal or less level. Got any that can help those challengers or the people that need to eat at that level on an ongoing basis?

Here is one idea from this week's prices in my area -

Chicken - 58 cents a pound with store coupon.
Bok Choy - 25 cents a pound Asian market
Potatoes - 10 pounds for 99 cents with store coupon at surplus store
Watermelon - 25 cents a pound at Asian market
Tea - 1.40 for 100 bags on sale at local warehouse store
Butter on sale

4 oz chicken (with bones) - 14 cents
8 oz baked potato - 5 cents
4 oz steamed bok choy - 7 cents
4 ounces watermelon - 6 cents
Cup of tea - 1.4 cents
Butter - 8 cents

Total for meal 41.4 cents

I live near a lot of ethnic markets and warehouse stores so I could really eat this amount of food for this price or less for every meal pretty easy.

As 2Bfrugal points out, the prices paid for the ingredients really makes a difference. I find that I need to preserve food when the prices are low or grown in my garden and then the price during the off season does not make much difference.
