What are your favorite 3-5 new cookbooks so far in 2012?

I don't really keep up on the new releases, but I did add a couple new books to my collection this year. I almost bought that book "An Everlasting Meal," based on all the positive reviews I read online. Thank goodness I checked it out from the library first. There wasn't much in the way of new information. I dunno, maybe I've finally reached the age where everything old is new again.

A couple of months ago I finally purchased the "Joy of Cooking." I wanted to add a basic book to my small collection. A few weeks ago I purchased "The Bread Baker's Apprentice." What a fabulous book! I can't rate it highly enough.

Forks Over Knives put out a great vegan cookbook. I have also purchased a cookbook put out by Colonial Williamsburg with recipes for some of the authentic food served in their taverns.

I just bought The Homemade Pantry (http://www.amazon.com/The-Homemade-Pantry-Buying-Making/dp/030788726X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1345768340&sr=8-1&keywords=homemade+pantry) with a birthday gift card and I read it cover-to-cover the day it arrived. I haven't yet made anything out of it (it's only been a week and a half), but I will and I am looking forward to it. I just put a hold on Dinner: A Love Story (http://www.amazon.com/Dinner-Story-begins-family-table/dp/0062080903/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1345768426&sr=1-1&keywords=dinner+a+love+story) at the library and I think I am going to love it, too.

Practical Paleo, by Diane San Filippo--a big colorful celebration of traditional foods. Make It Paleo and Paleo Comfort Foods are also excellent.

amazon keeps recommending and they have almost suceeded here too, it does look interesting ...

(It's not in the library system here, and I am not surprised as I would never expect a new book like that to be in the library)

Always useful, of course.
