In the organizing forum, under the August Declutting thread, there's a response to a poster who wants to embark on a project to wear out the clothes she has. It's on how to divide up clothes into groups focused around a set of neutral and accent colors.

By wearing one group at a time, it makes it possible to get the most use out of each clothing item.
