About five days ago I got an invitation to be the state contact for an organization I used to REALLY want to be more involved with, and there weren't really that many opportunities. Trouble is, I have moved on from the kind of classroom role that is the main participants in this organization.
I thought about it. I really did. But it doesn't make sense to do it at this time in my life.
So she called me tonight to see what I decided, and I said no. Confidently.
Whew.
Yea for you! I have been practicing NO for a while..."I'm so sorry I just can't, No, I just cannot. I'm sorry, No! " Over and over. So good for you!
Good going. The more often you say it, the easier it will become.
You should only do the things you WANT to do. Life is too short.
I am totaly a Leap First person, so a good friend, years ago, coached me to say this instead of an instant yes: "What an interesting idea! I'll get back to you in 24 hours."
It is magic.

That's great Kelli that you know where you heading and was able to make a sound decision based on your goals...good for you!
Good for you, Kelli! For me, it sometimes is a struggle to find the boundary in an opportunity. Sounds like you're doing just fine with that....
