Post menopausal hot flashes

I have been extremely hot my entire life. But after I was into post menopause, I was finally cool! YAY! Now, after several years of being cool, I'm having hot flashes all day long again........especially after eating. Has this happened to any of you post-menopausal women? Its a real drag, and very uncomfortable. Even when I eat a carb-free meal, I sweat like crazy.

Maybe this is not related to post-menopause? If it is there is an excellent herb you can take -- black cohosh -- for hot flashes.

Yes Cathy, I too have post menopausal hot flashes. I put up with it for the longest time before talking to my gyn about it. She said that there is a percentage of women who continue to experience hot flashes after menopause. I used the Vivelle Dots because the hot flashes were waking me up several times each night.
