Hi!
You live in China, right? I have a couple brass coasters that have Chinese writing on them. Would you be able to tell me what they say, if I post a picture of them?
I don't want to keep them if they say something like "your mother is ugly". :laff:
Thanks!

Actually, I have to leave for awhile, and just in case you see this, I'll go ahead and post pics of the coasters. They're actually meant to be hung on a wall. I think my MIL brought these back from China.
Thanks!

They are a little hard to read because of the way the metal melds together (and also my reading skill with traditional characters is not so good -- I've spent almost all my time in China on the mainland, where they use simplified versions), but I think they are three of the characters shown here that refer generally to prosperity and good fortune:

The one on the upper right is clearly "fu" -- good luck.

The one on the upper left looks to me like "lu" -- prosperity

And the lower one is "shou" -- longevity

All good, and worth keeping around the house. I should get some coasters like that :)

Lovely coasters, CathyA. I've never seen anything like them before.

Lhamo. Thanks so much for interpreting the Chinese characters for us.
