I watched most of the convention last night while working on my quilting. My, there were so many good speakers that it is hard to pick a favorite. I had never heard Lily Ledbetter before and was just blown away by her strength. She's sure one strong woman that I wouldn't want to tangle with!! Ted Strickland was great and Julian Castro just knocked it out of the ballpark!! Michelle Obama was lovely and passionate and fun and so real. No, I can't pick a favorite... Looking forward to tonight!

(I also enjoyed the pans of the crowds on the floor and all the crazy hats and glasses! Lots of melanin at this convention!)

I'd never seen Tammy Duckworth speak before. Her story really illuminates the difference between privileged jingoism and true patriotism.
