I went to my orth appt last thursday evening. He said the two breaks were clean but the bones lined up where they needed to be. GREAT!!
He said, 'no surgery, let's put a cast on you'.
And then the assistant cut open my temp. soft splint cast.
The foot was so swollen and irritated.
Dr said "no cast, 2 weeks with your foot elevated above your heart - in otherwords.....bedrest".
2 weeks!
So I'm trying to stay down as much as possible on the bed or sofa with my foot on a pile of pillows.
In two weeks.....if the bones haven't moved the wrong direction and the skin is healed, I'll get a cast.
In two weeks, if the skin hasn't healed or the bones have moved, I'll have to have surgery.

Such a long process!

Lots of good books to read, DVDs to watch, knitting to do. Do you have somebody to do the cooking and house maintenance? Hope you ankle heals and no surgery is required. Hugs in the meanwhile!

Well, at least they're lined up. That's something.

And two weeks sitting on your butt in front of the TV shouldn't be too bad. Get some bon-bons.

Hope it stays in place for you. Maybe it would be a good time to learn knitting or crochet! Hope you will only need the cast...:)

Ohh, so sorry. It is a tough time to be laid up, but not as tough as it would have been had it been spring. Well, the fall shows are coming on. You could watch the new ones for us and then review them and let us know if they are worth watching.

Yikes! I hope you aren't in pain. Was the irritation from the temporary cast?
I'm so sorry you are going through this.
