A few weeks ago Gardenarian suggested I checkout homeschooling groups as a venue for teaching children's Spanish classes for some side income and to keep my hand in the game. I have thought about doing them through community ed offices but I like this idea even better.

The only thing is - I have no idea where to find such groups.

I do have some homeschool families among my FB friends but didn't want to throw it out there yet.

Any ideas, friends?

How about meet ups like this: http://www.meetup.com/find/?keywords=homeschooling&x=0&y=0&country=us&zip=55401&userFreeform=Minneapolis%2C+MN%2C+USA&searchfrom=topnav&jsCountry=us&op=search

I don't know what the rules are for solicitation of services like the one you are offering, but this may be a start where you can at least find out names of groups.

If you have a master's degree in Spanish you can teach on the community college level.

In my local community, you can reach various homeschooling groups through the Family Resources Center, and through the public school system, which cooperates with the homeschoolers.

True. I should look into it again. I think last time I investigated it wasn't really worthwhile $$ wise.

My master's is in education, not the language, but I don't think that would stop a program that needed someone badly enough.

Thank you for all the ideas so far everyone, all helpful . . . keep 'em coming . . .
