Does such a thing exist?

Backstory - I hang dry all our clothes. In the summer it is out on a line and in the winter it is inside on racks. We had a big monstrocity of a dryer for years, but it literally sat unpulled for over two years. I finally freecycled it about a month ago. I love having the extra space and which is already filled. :) I'm thinking I might like to get a very small electric dryer - at least big enough to dry, say, a pair of men's jeans. For those "emergency" situations. (which, again, we haven't really had any in over two years!!! So maybe I really don't need this as much as I think!?!?!)

I have looked on Amazon and ebay and even various manufacturer websites, but I'll confess to ending up totally confused and frustrated.

Does anyone have such a thing? Anyone know of such a thing? Any help/advice would be appreciated - even against such a purchase - lol. Thanks in advance!

Sounds like all you need is a small portable electric space-heater.

What you're looking for does exist. Though I have no experience with this vendor, their product lineup is fairly complete and at least gets you started on defining what (and how much) you need: http://www.compactappliance.com/Dryers/Appliances-Laundry-Dryers,default,sc.html . I agree with Mrs-M, though -- maybe what you need is not a box, but a space heater with a good fan, though jeands are pretty tough to dry.

Thanks for the responses everyone and the link! I'll be checking it out as soon as I post this.

The only reason I'm really thinking of something like this is for those "emergencies" when someone absolutely positively NEEDS to have a particular piece of clothing to wear in like... NOW! (Hence, why I'm not really sure this is a viable purchase - LOL.) I'm not sure a space heater would meet that requirement. Plus I think I may be hesitant to walk away from a space heater while the clothing is drying in front of it, etc.

Thanks again. Off to check out that site!
