View Full Version : No Receipt
I went to a new MD and was told to bring cash or a check because they don't accept credit cards, debit cards, or FSA cards. OK so I paid my $45 co-pay with a check. They didn't give me a receipt and I forgot to ask for one. But the second time I went again there was no receipt. I am going to call tomorrow and see if they will mail me a receipt for 2 office visits so that I can file for reimbursement from my FSA. I have never been to a MD office where it was cash or check only and no receipts are given. Odd.
That does seem odd. My MD would take chickens if necesary. Or anything except Medicade.
My ortho doctor is that way. I have to ask for a reciept and it's handwritten on just a reciept book. They did automatically mail me a statement later from their home office (he is only here two days a week)so all is good but it kind of ticked me off to start with.

I think many places feel that your cancelled check is your receipt, unless you ask for somethng else. If a copy of your cancelled check won't be sufficient, then it is probably up to you to ask for something different.
