This should give Saturday Night Live alot of good stuff to work with.
I just hope Biden can control himself. :~)

I'll have to record it for later viewing, Thursday's are Zumba night followed by margaritas. Maybe Joe will make sense by the time I watch. >8)

I'm having a little trouble thinking of things that would be a bigger waste of time than watching the VP debate :) Watch paint dry? Grass isn't growing right now, so watching that is out. Watch that pot, to see if it really never boils?

I will probably watch some of it. Why wait for SNL to mine the humor when it can be found in its raw form. I have to say that if there is some unfortunate event where the VP takes over, it is hard to picture either of these guys as presidential material. Where has Biden been the last four years, anyway?

Crazy Joe has been but one heartbeat away from the trigger to our nuclear weapons for the past four years.

I used to think that about Ronald Reagan. I am not kidding. I literally had nightmares. That "outlaw Russia forever, we begin bombing in 5 minutes" line didn't help any.

I can't wait! I love a good political rumble and I'm hoping Joe won't disappoint me like...someone...last week!;) The outcome won't change my vote, as I don't think it will change most people's vote, but I really like it if BOTH teams bring their game!

The margaritas sound good too! I don't know what zumba is but I'm guessing it's a dance of some kind, like the tango. (actually Alan, dancing can be more fun, for the observers, if you have the margaritas first!)

LET'S GET READY TO RrrrrUMBLE!!

I'll pass and read the highlights tomorrow - the debates feel like a cross between reality tv and professional wrestling, and I really don't like either.

Not as scary as knowing that evil Dick Cheney was in that position for 8 years.

I was hoping to sit down with my dw, a bowl of popcorn and enjoy. At the last minute she decided to take our dd to watch the hs football game.

I was left alone - with a cold bowl of cereal. Biden is just annoying - and arrogant. Ryan held his own but not nearly as good as Romney was. I tire of the press giving Biden a pass by just saying Biden was being Biden. IMHO

Popcorn seems so festive, light and fun. Contemplating the future policies we are likely to get to some degree regardless of which candidate wins is none of those, it's just really depressing. So the only thing it would make me want to do is maybe barf up my popcorn and to drink until forgetfulness.

Popcorn will be saved for PBS airing Les Miz or Irish folk music or a murder detective story. That's light enough (well it's not all light but it is all fictional). Popcorn will be organic and GMO free :~) Of course doomer blogs several years ago liked to use the popcorn phrase too ... die off ... popcorn!! Yea so if that's how it's intended ....

[ugh I really just need to ignore politics until after this election, it's just ugh]

It is fun cause really when ever else do you get to see the two sides unfiltered and head to head. same space.

Well considering I felt like I was watching a boxing match about to start any second (or waiting for Ryan stuff his socks into Biden's mouth to keep him from interrupting every 5 seconds) I really was ready for popcorn and margaritas! But I'm still a Obama/Biden girl even though my crush on Paul Ryan has increased quite a bit. Scruff him up a bit and give him a 5 o'clock shadow and that guy can swing my vote anytime :-)!

Biden is just annoying - and arrogant.

And obnoxious and very rude too. Would like to see another debate where he could actually get a word in.

I keep saying this, but nobody ever seems to have noticed it........although I did hear a few commentators brought it up. Didn't you think that during the Presidential debate, Romney was obnoxious and rude too, and kept talking through the moderator's objections?

As I was looking at Ryan during last night's debate, I kept thinking he looked like a little boy....and that if he only had a few different ideas on things, he'd make a great son-in-law! :)

By the way ApatheticNoMore, I said "Get the popcorn" as tongue-in-cheek. I used to hear people say that when there was going to be a rumble, or an endless, silly argument. I didn't really eat popcorn during it. :)

I didn't think Romney was rude and obnoxious - at least not in the same way as Biden was - because he WAS serious about the issues and it seemed more that he wanted to get his point across in a somewhat overbearing way (just as Obama did when he ran overtime) rather then make fun of Obama. Biden treated Ryan like he was a boy instead of an equal. And yes, Ryan would make a great son-in-law ... if I can be your daughter in law :-)! OK he's too young for me but my inner cougar just doesn't care!

I don't see any comparison between the actions of either Presidential candidate in their debate and Biden's last night. Both men in last week's debate took some advantage of an inept moderator and ran long with their answers, but neither was condescending or outright disrespectful of the other. Biden was.
