Very cool. I have this large, ugly, tall-and-skinny jar that's been taking up residence in my house for no good reason (it was given to us).
My friend is opening her gallery soon, so maybe we'll use this jar and make a terrarium for her. Then, it's outta my house and looks nice for someone else, and if she doesn't want it, she can pass on the terrarium. :)

Sounds nice Zoe, I too have some Apothicary jars that soon I won't have any use for so I am also thinking of making these as Christmas presents. The only thing I was wondering is that they put some dried flowers in there and with all the moisture won't the bottoms start to rot? What do you think?
Oh, I LOVE terrariums!!! The bigger- the better! Indoor terrariums/gardens, my favourite!
Thanks so much for this, Tussie! This is my warm and fuzzy thread of the day that just helped give me the kick-start I need this morning!
P.S. Now I want a terrarium SO BAD!
I would just take the dried flowers out and use cool rocks and shells to add more shape/interest and color. I dont think there's any need for dried stuff really. :)
I agree, Zoebird. Cut and polished geodes, are my favourite!
