I saw a clip on the news about Donald Trump being on the David Letterman show. Letterman asked him why he liked Romney. He said he especially liked Romney's comments about China and how China is burying us (by manufacturing everything for us). Then he was promoting his new line of clothing. Letterman had several of the articles of clothing, and was looking closely at them, and said "This tie was made in China!" Trump just shrugged.

This spring, I was in The Secret Room on the 3rd floor of the Beretta salon in NYC, trying to get a word in edgewise about a shotgun I wanted built for me, while my daughter was busily discussing the history of the company with their top gunsmith in North America for her history class. They were having a great time.

His assistant came into The Room, telling him "Trump is on the phone again, he wants to know when he can have his gun back..." The gunsmith responded "Can't you see I'm talking to the young lady here, tell him to call back tomorrow sometime..."

I love guys who have their priorities down right.

After they chatted another hour, he turned to me to see about the gun I wanted built, talked me out of the $30k custom one, and found an off-the-rack $2k one they make that would work *better* for my needs with a mere $200 of modifications.

Customer service.

He's not much liked in Scotland, either! His latest stunt is to threaten legal action against the producers of a local tv station for a less than flattering programme transmitted recently on him and his (mostly) unwanted golf 'resort'.scotland doesn't need another golf course.

Oh and now he's also trying to get the Scottish parliament to stop offshore wind farms as the will spoil the view for his golfers. The sheer arrogance of the man!

I give the man credit where credit's due. He is very good at marketing a couple different brands. His high end products are very well done and tend to sell quite well at a premium to similar products. That isn't always an easy trick to pull off. His low end product line, like the TV show and all his other ego stroking stunts, also seem to have market appeal. I wouldn't waste a minute watching the guy because it is highly doubtful that he's going to say anything that would benefit me, but for whatever reason he has a loyal following. And he's smart enough to capitalize on that.

I don't know what Donald Trump's products are other than that tv show. I will say that the first two seasons of The Apprentice were entertaining.
