My goodness, everything seems to have its own charging cord these days. i have each one labeled but where and how can I keep them sorted so that they don't take up a lot of room and entangle with each other so that I can find them easily?

Ther must be something better than the drawer that I am using at present. :help:

There's cord organizers that you can purchase (or even build, if you are good at that sort of thing). You could also tie off the cords so that they aren't their full length. This way, when you're charging everything.. the cords aren't all over the place. This is the method that I use by our bedside, that husban recently undid.. so I need to do that again!!

I charge everything where it lives or is most used. The charging cord for my media player is next to the radio it plugs into. My charging cord for the cell phone in on the nightstand (that is where the phone is all night). The charging cord for the laptop and dh's tablet are in the the home office. etc...

I organize it this way: I tie them all up into knots and throw them in a drawer. :~)

Seriously though, I don't know why they can't put more info on all those transformer things so when they get separated from the mother pod, you know where they go.
I've learned to put a piece of masking tape on them with the item they go with..........but I didn't do that soon enough and have so many that I don't know where they go.

Ha! How did you know my husband was just complaining about all my cords being tangled up!

I use Cathy's method too.

If I were organized, I would use a paint marker to write the device name on the transformer. Then, I would use bread ties or wire ties to shorten the cable length and plug them all into a strip that could be turned off when not actually in use. This way, the cords don't vampire the electric when plugged into the wall with no device attached.

Actually, I have seen a tackle box redone to be a docking station. You put the power strip in the bottom with all chargers plugged into it. Then, the trays are utilized to house the devices, with a slit cut on the rear edge for the cable to come through - just enough to hook to the phone/ipod/etc. I so need to do this!

We have a (wicker/reed/whatever) basket (about the size of those baskets people use for holding Christmas cards) and the chargers go in there. I tend to know which one is which on sight. But we do put one of those hook-and-loop cable organizers (example here (http://www.thestrapstore.com/product/13.aspx)) on each one to allow for orderliness and identification (e.g., red = Sony phone; blue = Nokia phone). It's worked well for us.

I use a basket too, one that is divided (I think meant to hold drinks? It is shape like a beer bottle box, with compartments.) DD has a lot of stickers and she put a sticker on each charger and a matching one on each device. (My phone has My Little Pony "Sparkleworks.") I keep the basket under an end table with a power strip nearby for easy charging.

I use those white bread bag tabs to label electric cords. That way, I can tell at a glance, what goes to what. I also use the little black-coated twist ties or zip ties to fold up the cords to keep them as short as possible. Shorter = less tangling in my book.
