Claire McCaskill beat science wizard Todd Akin, and rape baby booster Richard Mourdock went down in flames, as well. All part of God's plan, Richard. Sure glad the menfolk let us ladies vote.

New Hampshire now has an all-women Congressional delegation. And a woman as Governor.

I'm particularly happy that Warren and Duckworth won, given the creepy condescension of their opponents. I guess arrogance trumps substance when you have nothing to say. Two smart strong women headed to the Senate.

And in my district, Suzan del Bene handily beat John Koster, another Republican who backed "government small enough to fit in your womb," as it's been described. He was so desperate that in the waning days of the campaign he put out ads with his wife reassuring us that even though he had had cancer, surgery and radiation rendered him good as new. Or something. I have no idea what the point was. Going for the sympathy vote? Oh well. Earlier in the campaign, he tried to impugn del Bene for being rich, even shooting an ad in front of her Gold Coast home. But we have lots of Microsoft and other IT millionaires around here, and they're mostly good eggs, so that was a big ho hum. And another IT millionaire, Maria Cantwell, easily retained her senate seat. I'm a happy voter today. I think I'll go smoke a joint and marry a woman! http://www.kolobok.us/smiles/light_skin/dance3.gif

I have been wondering if Elizabeth Warren will be on a Presidential ticket in 2016 either in the top spot or as VP?:D

Yes I think that's what they are grooming her for, and what you will get is a corporatist warmongering Democrat, like Obama, cherry picked just for you (she's already making beligerant noises, however you will have a voting record to prove my case by that point if it's true (unless she's one of those who choose to go conveniently missing from most votes!). And so hopefully you'll have something to go with when she starts blowing rainbows in your ear. But but ... she writes good books on personal finance. She might, I haven't read them. But the political process corrupts all those but with the deepest principles, and I'm certainly not seeing the signs with Warren.

P.S. pick up some chettos when you get the joint, they'll have GMOs and WON'T be labeled. (yea I think the propositions broke ok on balance, but Monsanto literally bought an election here, proving an election can be bought if only you spend enough, and ensuring more and more food will contain GMOs)

I LOVE Elizabeth Warren. Remember her from the Enron days and all the financial debacle. Seems a sensible person and just might be a good pres. candidate once she gets more (much more) political experience.

And we still have Diane Feinstein here in Calif. She's been around since God was wearing short pants! And looks like she'll be around until for a long time to come.

Del Bene's district is about the size of Rhode Island, isn't it? I was so worried about having that Koster character representing me.

We have two effective female senators who look like they'll be around for the long haul. Patty Murray has been particularly hard-working, as far as I can tell.

Do you think H.Clinton will run? I had just assumed that she wouldn't. Wow!

I don't really see Hill doing anything right now except taking a much deserved rest from a very tough job. But, I also see Bill, in a year or two, whispering in her ear, "one more time?"
