I respect the thought and encourage it. Personally, I have a few prime buying seasons for household items and clothing and consider black Friday and post Christmas to be one of the prime times to get excellent prices. I have a small mental list and will be watching sales and pick up a few things. I have pretty good self discipline when it comes to spending and don't often spend frivolously. It's just good timing to pick up a few things.

My goal for the Holidays is no TV other than PBS and news. I got so burned out on commercials during the elections that I don't think I can handle new group trying to sell another bill of goods.

we bought my ILs their christmas presents (fingerless gloves of merino and possum fur made locally). $24 total. So, that's done. If we don't buy them a 'something' then they get pissy.
