Is anyone familiar with this brand? They are made in the UK and look to be comfortable and well-made, and they have a lot of good-looking styles. But I'm hesitant to order a brand that I've never tried on, so I'm curious if anyone else has tried them.

rosa, yeah, I saw a catalog of theirs 'bout 6 months ago and immediately fell in lust with them. I struggled for months over ordering a pair. Ultimately my inner frugality won out, as I certainly don't need any new shoes.
Like you though, I am curious as to whether they're as nice a shoes as they look.

I haven't heard of them but I will say that paying a fairly large amount of money for good quality shoes is well worth it. I have a pair of Dr. Martins (also a UK brand) that I paid about $100 for. I am on my 6th year of wearing them, almost every day, and they are still holding up great!

They look fabulous!

Well Mom asked me to order her a couple of pairs (since I have the magical internet) and she said I could order a pair for myself as part of my xmas present if I wanted, so I think I might take her up on that. :)
Mrs M: It's funny, your link is to a website with everything in pounds. The catalog we have and associated web site are for the US with everything in dollars.
Lin: The ones I really lust after are the more casual ones, but I can better justify dressier ones for work. I could almost say I need new work shoes with a straight face. Almost.
If I get a pair, I'll report back on how they are.

decemberlov: I agree that spending money on good shoes is worth every penny. I own good shoes - just don't need any new ones, alas.....
eta: rosa: I was looking at the casual ones, 'cause I could better justify THOSE for work. Was on my feet all day and truly did need good sturdy comfy shoes. I "justified" one good pair of sneakers every year for work - whether I needed them or not. :) But retired now, and the three pair of good work sneakers I ended up with should last me for many years to come. No more justification for new shoes. sigh.
(and rosa, let's practice with that straight face: you really DO need a new pair of work shoes. You have many work clothes that you do not have the proper footwear for. It is NOT a frivolous purchase.)
How was that?

Don't know I have bought nice shoes from Wallmart and KMart that I have had for a long time and they held up well. I usually buy the Dr. Scholls brand or Cobby Cuddlers. Now they only sell their nicer shoes like this on their website. They stooped selling the nicer shoes and sell terrible ones in the store.

Just noticed a little something, Rosa. Look at the very top right-hand corner of the website. You can change countries by clicking on the flag, which sets to dollars.
My mum loves this brand. She gets sore feet very easily and says they really help to prevent/ease pain.

Lin, you are too funny! Would you believe I ordered a casual pair after all?
Thanks Mira, good to hear!
