Hi, still not shredded the journals I've had scanned but will get round to it when I pluck up the courage :) As you know I am still debating on keeping a paper journal aswell as one on the computer but the paper one will be for non-private stuff and general things. I have now hit on the idea of getting one of those five year diaries just to write a few sentences per day, this will save on clutter as one book will last five years and it won't matter about prying eyes because I won't put anything too personal in there. However, I wonder if I will have the discipline to fill it in every day as I am used to writing in a journal just as and when I feel the need. I do still like to have a paper journal though but don't want any clutter or anything too private hanging around to be read.

And I still need to shred those personal paper journals I've had scanned.

I think after about a month you'd get into the habit at the end of every day (say while you're lying in bed) of taking a minute or two to record what happened that day.

I have a member of my department who has kept a journal like this every day (EVERY DAY) since he was in high school. I think he's in his early 30's now. I think that's pretty impressive.

Make it a 500, or 5000 year diary, so future crazies can fret over the end of the world cause your diary ends!:~)
