Oh my, my dad is rather OCD, but he argues the D. After all what could be wrong with habits like making sure your shoelaces are flat and orderly?

So they are here for Christmas. We had a nice christmas eve and opened all our gifts last night. They gave my kids a keurig coffee maker which is awesome. So now they are on their way from the hotel but they have to stop at starbucks for my dad. I asked if they were going to try the keurig coffee and my mom decided she would but my dad can't have any difference in his drink. So I have never drank coffee and had a coffee maker for 20 years (the kids drink coffee now). Sigh.

Actually this isn't that bad, He ate my food and said a nice thing as well.

Only if it causes you or others D-istress.

I agree. If he's happy and it doesn't cause him (or others) alot of problems, then just tolerate it. It gives him pleasure to live a certain way, so its okay.

Oh yes, not a problem really. Sometimes other people notice so I may quietly tell them something. When I was growing up there were some behaviors that were really difficult to live with, and through my mom I generally remind him to say one compliment when I cook for them (I have a limit at the grunt and eat I guess). I stick to a couple recipes I know he likes.
