Something kind of ironic about getting out of some of my debts that I just ran across.....I logged onto my account at creditkarma.com out of curiosity and found that my credit score has risen by 42 points recently as I have completely paid off some of my debts. Amazing and great news but.....What I find ironic is now that I am getting debt zapped for real, I am now becoming someone the credit card companies would look on more favorably. Problem is, I really really really don't want what they are offering.....there's a total mismatch there lol. Not at all a problem, just very ironic to me. Rob

I know, isn't that a hoot? Credit agencies love you when you're out of debt, and then when you're in debt with comapnies, you're the bad guy....but those companies wouldn't exist without your debt. Makes me scratch my head.....
What I found 'funny' on CreditKarma was last month when my credit cards were all at 0, my 'grade' for them went to a C, where it had been an A the month before with some balances. I let a balance show up on the statement this month (I had been paying them before they even registered on the statement) and I'm back to an A. Backwards, I think.
creditkarma? This is new to me. How did you find out about this and is it just in the US?
I'm not sure how I found it. It is a free check on your credit, and gives an approximation of your score. Since they 'enhanced' it and offered a paid version, the free version only updates things once a month from what I can tell. It is a convenient way to make sure no rogue balances show up on my credit report. Most likely a US specific, but I could be wrong. CreditKarma.com
