DH & I bought our first piece of new furniture yesterday! I have been on the hunt for a small scale sectional, and having been scouring craigslist ads for a year. They have all been too big, or leather, which I like conceptually, but not in real life.

Yesterday, my locally owned, fav furniture store's outlet had a big sale (Kasala), so we found this smallish sofa, and the arc lamp next to it. Everything else in this photo came from Goodwill, including the handwoven rug & the Adrian Pearsall glass top table to the left of the sofa.

We're passing on the not so comfy click futon sofa we'd been tolerating to our young neighbor. This comfy, cozy room is our anniversary gift to each other. It's a superb cuddle spot!

PS - all the photos & art are my DH's work, so I guess not everything came from GW!

Thanks, IL. They are actually more chocolatey, but the light from the fire gave them a pumpkin shade.

This is a beautiful room redfox! It is so warm, inviting and sensual - the gorgeous colors, the softness, the round curvy artwork, glowing light... I'm taking an art class right now and your room brings to mind all those elements of art. It's so voluptuous!

We recently purchased our first new furniture piece as well. TOUGH to pay the higher price (we did not find a great sale), but had giftcards to use from our wedding so that softened the blow a bit.
