I have sold things on Ebay off and on for a few years. However, I have never tried to sell on Amazon and was just wondering if there are any of you that have been Amazon sellers and what your experience has been. If you have sold on both Amazon and Ebay, what do you see as the pros and cons of both? Is it hard to get started with Amazon? Any info would be helpful. Thanks!

Amazon is so much easier. I've sold books on Amazon since 2002 or so. It's a fixed price. Aside from a few DVDs, I've never sold anything besides books on Amazon.

I've sold books on Amazon as well and it is really easy to get started and to handle the transactions.

I prefer Amazon because the bidding element is out of it. You choose your price, set it, and keep an eye on it if needed, and people will either buy or not buy.

Also the pricing is pretty upfront. Last I looked, though it could have changed, .99 for listing fee + 15% of sales price + $3.99 shipping credit. For most of what we list, that equals out to roughly receiving the amount you list it for.

We haven't sold too much over there lately, though, we've kind of run out of items. I have thought about selling some kind of item with the "fulfillment by Amazon" program but that's a whole different level of sales - investing in inventory, etc. So not likely to actually happen. :)
