View Full Version : Editing old journals

Hi, I am still in the process of making a decison on my journals so have come up with the idea to edit the originals (which are also scanned) and take out any entries that I wouldn't want anyone to see, keep the rest, even if it may mean having the books bound again, and then in future keep any entries that are really personal on the laptop with a password and keep a paper journal for general entries (I do love writing in books).

However, I have started going my old journals and marking the entries I feel I want to get rid of. There are obvious entries that could cause offence so that decision is easy to make but then there are other entries that, whilst not offensive to anyone in particular, are embarrassing to me and I wouldn't want anyone to come across them and get a wrong image of me. The thing is that if I edit too many entries it is going to ruin the other entries I want to keep that follow on.

I really don't know how to do this. I could just destroy the whole lot (they are on the laptop anyway now) and start from fresh with a new paper journal which I don't mind being seen and do my rants on the computer but somehow I can't seem to get rid of these journals.

Does anyone have any advice on this. I am currently doing a project with two friends and one of my goals is sorting out these journals.
