I hope this link works and you can read this article I found in YES online magazine. What a concept - random act of kindness sort of thing. Imagine finding one of these letters. Wow!

There is a wonderful LDS movie that came out with a similiar premise and was a beautiful movie, it is called "z
The Letterwriter."

I am sure that there is information about it on the internet,.,

What would you include in a love letter to a stranger? I am struggling with the idea since I have only ever written to people who I know.

Just this morning one of my facebook friends shared a post by a mother who's son was having a very hard time. It seems he has been bullied for a while now and that he put up a post saying he was planning to commit suicide on his 13th birthday on Feb. 8. I'm always skeptical of these things, especially on FB, but this mom didn't ask for donations or anything monetary, only for random people to write to her son to let him know that he is important and valuable. Spending a few minutes and $.45 on the chance that it might help someone feel better seemed like a no brainer to me. If it's a hoax no harm was done and if its not (and I hope its not) then it might do some good. The letter went out in today's mail. I'm not sure what you would say in a love letter to a stranger, but it was pretty easy to come up with something for a 12 year old boy who is hurting.

There is a place where you can go and view some of the "found" letters and the one I saw looked like a card that read something like "Dearest You, Don't give up on your dreams" and a few more general lines of good wishes, and ended by wishing peace love and happiness for them. IDK, just sounds like a neat idea to me, coming across one of those. I think I will do a few and stick them in places like bookstores, libraries, etc.

Thanks SEL, that gives me some idea. I googled the phrase, 'Letters to strangers', and came up with further ideas.

That was beautiful. I shared it on my facebook wall. Which feels a little ironic.
It reminds me of the postsecret TED talk:
