The people on the boat fascinate me. WOW!!! They are all interesting to look at.

There was a book out several years ago that showed people from around the world standing in front of all their possessions. Can't remember the name (something like "Material World") but it was pretty awe inspirering to see just how few things other people on. I'm a pretty hardcore minimalist and it made me realize that even I live with such a huge amount of "stuff" compared to others.

Neat site! The book Spartana is talking about is Material World: A Global Family Portrait by Peter Menzel and it's really interesting. I have both that book and another of his showing what people around the world eat in a year called Hungry Planet: What the World Eats.

Wow! It makes you think. That's interesting about the television being a sign of wealth.
