;)

I cleaned out the master closet and realized my hubby has it together when it comes to making a nice business appropriate clothing outfit. Simple but good quality button down shirts, plain but good quality pants and shoes, 2 leather belts and a few nice ties. He wears blue, a little green, grey and burnt orange (we ARE Longhorn fans after all :))

I am doing this with my work wardrobe. I always feel slumpy at work. I realized I can pair my 2 work skirts (1 black, 1 blue pinstripe) and 1 pair of black trouser pants with about 5 tops right now (2 button down, nice material long sleeve*, 1 button down, nice material short sleeve and 2 short sleeve silky type small blue with white polka dot and 1 red top) and be nice and sharp but simple. I have 1 pair of navy ballet flats, 2 pairs of kitten heels (black and neutral), 1 pair of brown flat boots, 1 pair of heeled leather black boots. Add in 1 wrap dress (black and white), 2 sheath (1 black, 1 red) and one long sleeve in black/beige print, I really have an effective work wardrobe that is classy and easy. PHEW!!! LOL Just never saw it before under all the clutter and nonsense.

*I bought these from Land's End in a size too big because usually the chest area doesn't fit me. I then proceeded to have them tailored to fit me. I took the side seams in, following the curve and VOILA..they fit perfectly!! : ) And they lay much better, do not bunch up but are not TOO tight and look spot on.

Update- I went shopping today. I just wanted to see what was out there for work. I think I am going to go with the button down shirts in the nice materials with trousers pants or pencil skirts. I was trying on clothes to find fit and quality and the sales lady called me "Cute and geeky chic." YIPPPPE!!! I am HUGE nerd so you don't know how happy this makes me.

I like the sound of that "look".
