Just wondering in these technological times, does anyone still use a Filofax? I used to use one up until about four years ago, moved onto a slim line diary and now I use the calendar on my phone, I still like a notebook for journalling though.

Filofax supplies seem to be relegated to the back aisles of the stationery shops now, whereas at one time they were right at the front and loads of inserts were available. Sign of the times I guess.

I don't use a Filofax but I do still use a paper diary. I much prefer the feel of paper than tapping away at a gadget. Also, it's easier to flick through a paper diary. I hate gadgets - I wish I lived in the 1930s.

I know someone at work who does.

Dogmom, I think I'd be very happy in the 30s myself. I get my news through radio and the paper, primarily, although I do read through news sites online (essentially the modern version of the paper).

I don't use a Filofax, but I still do use a small notebook I always have with me for shopping lists, notes, etc. I'm still very much a paper person, even though I love my smartphone.

I'm also a paper person and use a paper organizer for phone numbers and calendars. Putting these things in a phone would never work for me. :)

My administrative assistant still used a paper-based organizer/planner for appointment keeping purposes and for organizer her day. Side note, she's 24 and has a smartphone, but she swears she'll never give up paper for keeping her calendar.

Wasn't filofax a bit 70's and maybe early 80's in college level organization classes? I loved my admin organization class that was required by my recreation degree. Keeping a 'day-timer' planner was 80% of our grade and I was faithful 'day-timer' for years and years. 2 page per day/month at a glance. Pocket-size in college and full-size when I worked in churches planning activities and studies. 1 page per day when I was organizing our show schedule/order schedule. Currently I can put my life into those cheap $1 2-year month at a glance type of calendars. Always a paper girl, I fail completely at on-line or phone organizing.

I used to LOVE my Daytimer, but I stopped my regular annual orders last year, after using one for probably at least 15 years. I sometimes miss it, but not all that much. I have migrated many of its functions on my computer or iPhone--calendar, appointments, cash recording, to-do. So, I don't see much point to keeping it anymore.

I use paper journals for idea development and notes (project work, classwork, etc.) and diary entries, but that's about it.
