Displaying instead of storing

I was just going through my son's bin of baby items and came across his first little outfit. It brings back so many happy memories so instead of storing it, I gently washed it and pressed it and I am going to have it mounted in a shadow box for near my desk area.

I am purchased 4 black frames and am displaying some of his artwork. It's really nice to see thse things out and I appreciate them more. :)

Brings back memories! Love the light-box idea using a baby outfit! How cute!

I have wanted a baby light-box (possibly two) for quite sometime, but have been holding off until my laundry room is totally complete before having them made. What conversation pieces they'll be!

A couple of pictures I took last Spring (April?) of a portion of the purged baby stuff I cleaned out of the boys dresser drawers and closets! I sorted through everything and selectively kept all that wasn't too stained or beat-up, and thrifted the rest.

Check out the cozy yellow waffle-knit baby sleeper! Yes, it is next to new, however, the same can't be said about the other ones I sorted through and got rid of... with their holey-feet and all! LOL!

Cribs (two), crib bedding, toys (baby), and a mass of other related things, was packed-up and taken downstairs prior to me snapping these pics. I spent several days sorting/organizing/storing. Whew! Always so nice to move-out the old and make room for new!

I have quite a few small collections of different things that were stored away since we moved almost seven years ago. Now, I display one collection at a time and change it after two or three months. I can enjoy each one, it's less to clean, and it's not hidden away and forgotten.

I am wrestling with this as I declutter our kitchen in prep for a major paint job this summer. What to do with ALL the dishes & glassware I currently have displayed? Pack & store to rotate for display & use? Sell/give away? Oy! Too much stuff! Most of which I really like...
