Me, too. That is such a shame. I hate to see anyone die too soon.
So sad...I loved her in "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" and her own spinoff, "Rhoda." I was always suprised she didn't become a bigger star.

So very sorry for her. She was great in Mary Tyler Moore show. I wish her the best and hope she doesn't suffer too much....

Wow....I was watching Rhoda last night on youtube and now read this. I guess my takeaway is that there are no guarantees so make the most of every day. Rob
I suppose I should give myself cred for being a sensitive to the outer world--I thought of Rhoda just last week. I can't remember why she popped into my head, but she did. It's not as though I am a huge fan (though I AM a fan of her MMT show)

I was a kid during Mary Tyler Moore and Rhoda but we watched it every week. I loved her! I have always been the 'Rhoda' in my girlfriend relationships (my friends are always 'Mary's.
No matter how hard I try to be a Mary, the Rhoda just barrels out!
I hope she doesn't suffer
I don't remember Mary Tyler Moore show but do remember valerie Harper on a very cute comedy show called "Valerie" I think where she was the Mom to 2 or 3 kids. It was very cute but she left and they replaced her with Sandy Duncan. So sad to hear about this. I remember she had lung cancer a few years ago and maybe this is related. my mom had lung cancer (and no treatment) that metatizied (sp) to brain cancer after about 7 very healthy pain free years. in which she travelled the world. Fortunately she passed away quickly from pnuemonia (just after finishing a month of daily radiation to her brain tumors) before she suffered the full effects of brain cancer. Hopefully if Valerie is terminal she will have a healthly and good life followed by a quick painless death like my Mom's.
Rhoda the character was the coolest person on TV to me when I was in middle school. I wanted to be as independent as her. Those shows back then MTM were kinda good role models for girls.........what happened to tv, not many good role models now.

She was always one of my favorites - I sort of identified with "Rhoda" for some reason and I am saddened to hear of her illness.
