I spend enough time venting out things, or expressing some hurt feelings. I thought it was only fair to share that we are having some better days at home. My oldest has had some conversations with me (started by me of course but that is okay) and while we talked today she helped with the dishes since we had company come tonight. That is a really big boost,. We talked about her broken car and what she is looking for in a car next. I found out that the old roomates who owe her lots of money are actually paying her back, and she has all her tax return money in savings plus what they paid her back. Whew, I was worried about the money being gone. Also there is a chance of her moving out. She is waiting to see about someone who is going to buy a house and it will have a mother in law unit, that would be a good situation. As much as I complain I don't want her totally alone, she did that once before when she moved out of state and I think that the depression was pretty bad then.

The other kids are okay, they tend to say mean things to me but I watch them with their friends and that is how they talk in general. I still correct it but in the end they know I am boss and that is what matters.

To Better Days!

Nothing we do for the young is totally wasted. Including listening.

I'm glad for you and your daughter Zoe Girl. You have worked very hard to get to this point...pause and give yourself a pat on the back!

One of the most amazing things about getting older is finding out that your children really did hear what you told them even though you would have sworn they hadn't heard a word you said.

I'm glad things are going a bit better for you.
