Beautiful Canadian Rockies! Yes... we reside at the foot of the mountains! Pure mountain fresh spring water, no smog, no pollution, world-class recreation (hunting, fishing, hiking)... an outdoors-man's paradise!
What does your playground look like?

Mrs. M. I spent a while living and working in Lake Louise, Alberta and lived within the Rockies-Not a day went by that I didn't gaze in awe at the majestic mountains! Just beautiful!!
Love those mountains. I once camped at the snowline of the mountains just for the heck of doing so, woke up frozen and went to warm up at the Harrison Hot springs for a couple of days. It was so a special time and place.
Oh Mrs. M., I'm so envious! (and very happy for you!!). Do you have alot of animals around? Do you have very many neighbors?
This is just up the hill from my house. We're on the cliff above Lake Taneycomo (great trout fishing). This was a low water day, not much coming out of the dam. On the otherside of the dam is TableRock where I love to kayak.
Here's my husband's blog post about our place (http://holyembersofdreams.blogspot.co.nz/2011_07_01_archive.html).
Love the Fire-hall picture, Bae!
Tussie. We truly are blessed, and I never forget to give thanks to our good fortune.
Mighty Frugal. Lake Louise, is magnificent! Were you working at the Fairmont Chateau?
Razz. We've never visited Harrison Hot Springs, but have heard much about it!
CathyA. Oh, yes... tons of animals. Our area is world-renowned for Big Game Hunting. Neighbours, yes, but a small community, so peace, quiet, and privacy, abounds.
Absolutely beautiful, Float On!
Lovely blog, Zoebird! Can't wait to delve in deeper.
Here is another picture from Saturday (later in the day), capturing a storm rolling in that hit East of us!

Stark difference between the first picture, isn't it? Storms can roll-in dangerously fast. The first picture was taken around noon, give or take an hour either way, the last picture (above), was taken near the end of the day.

Mrs-M, it is beautiful where you live! Lucky you! :) Zoebird, lovely where you live as well!
I live near the same area Float On does. I think her photo says it all! Really prettier though in the spring, summer, and fall when the trees are full with color.

Mrs. M., it looks like you need to put on a pair of snowshoes when you go out your back door. Your ‘back yard’ is truly a pictorial definition of the word ‘awesome’.
Mrs. M..........Isn't that curious about how storms act around mountains? When I was in Europe, riding the train, we'd go into a tunnel through the mountains when it was a beautiful warm sunny day. When we'd come out of the tunnel, it would be snowing and gloomy!
We do love it, Wildflower!
LOL, Goldensmom! Indeed, we do some years...
CathyA. Yes, it truly is. People (every year) get caught in the mountains, and while most live to tell about it, sadly, a few perish.
