I bought a nice wood, Zen looking jewelry box from a thrift shop. It has fabric lined drawers that have a lot of dust and debris in them. How would I clean / disinfect the fabric? Any thoughts?

Cleaning: Use a vacuum to remove dust and dirt. If anything stays behind, use the sticky rollers they sell to remove pet fur from your clothes.
Why would you need to disinfect it?

Pretty much what I would do Miss Cellane. Or just a rolled piece of scotch or masking tape if you don't have a lint roller.

I thought if I had my pierced earrings in there maybe it should be disinfected But I guess you are right. I leave them laying around places like the nightstand and counter top that aren't always super clean.

Most germs are dead within a day on a dry surface. Few linger past 48 hours.
The best way to sanitize the box, if you really want to, is to leave it out in direct sunlight for a few hours. The heat and lack of humidity should take care of anything that might be there.
Or you could rip out all the fabric lining and put in new, but that seems like a lot of work for little return.

Those are great ideas, Miss Cellane. I rechecked the box and the fabric is glued down and would be hard to rip out, so I will put it in the sun and then just put stick on felt or shelf paper on the inside. Thanks!
I have had this way cool jewelry box sitting in on the counter for months not really using it - procrastinating because I wasn't sure what to do with it.
I second, Miss Cellane's and Decemberlov's ideas.
P.S. The jewelery storage drawer/box sounds lovely, Try2bfrugal!
I would probably replace it with some new material. I have a can of "forced air" I use for cleaning my keyboard that I find comes in handy for those little places too.
Wow! Yes, KayLRZ, what a great idea!
