I realized this morning that most of my bookmarks right now are for sites and blogs that post a lot of negative content -- progressive political blogs, news sources, feminist activist sites, etc. And while those subjects do interest me, I am finding myself sort-of aimlessly spiraling through all this online negativity and that doesn't seem healthy or wise.

So I am wondering what sites and blogs you like that focus on more positive things or that leave you feeling refreshed and encouraged when you read them?

I like looking at Too Cute videos from the Animal Planet (you can watch snippets on YouTube) while trying not to think about pet overpopulation. I also visit Polymer Clay Daily http://www.polymerclaydaily.com on a regular basis, along with Etsy and Pinterest for art appreciation and inspiration.

I have lots, but the first one that comes to mind is http://www.positivelypositive.com/

I get their Facebook messages and it's always exactly the right time....

I've stopped visiting one-sided, negative web sites (both political ends). They do nothing for my life - nothing but jack up my cortisol and ruin my serenity. And if some negativity is mixed in with useful, productive information, I skip past it as quickly as I can.

There is a great site called Gratefulness. It is positive and a little spiritual, if you like that...

Some positive sites I visit daily, most of these sites show the creativity, the ingenuity, the strength and the amazing productivity of human kind:

WIN! Site: http://failblog.cheezburger.com/wins?page=1

Colossal, amazing artist endeavors from the most amazing mediums: http://www.thisiscolossal.com

Japanese Art, Design & Culture: http://www.spoon-tamago.com

www.kickstarter.com - While you don't need to fund anyone, it's still amazing to see all of the ideas, hopes and dreams others are working towards.

These kinds of sites help keep me positively motivated towards my goals...because through hard work, so many millions of others are making theirs come true :)
