View Full Version : Looking for a website to get a free Will form
Any hot hints out there? I've been searching for some time.... what have you found that you actually used?
Thanks!
If you don't find one, books are available at the library that might help.
I've been meaning to write out a holographic one--at least until i get around to using a form or whatever.

The king of DIY legal forms and how-to books is Nolo Press.
http://www.nolo.com/
I second the library, which might have the forms best suited to your location; that aspect can make a difference. My state government has all kinds of legal document forms/templates, and I know, from helping my clients, that other states do as well.
Most of the links I have saved are at work, but here are two that might get you started.
One site where you can look at the will before downloading is: http://www.docstoc.com/docs/6238089/Free-Printable-Last-Will-And-Testament-Forms , although you might have to retype it if you choose not to download. There is no save option on the document, and there will be a pop-up message asking you to register, and you cannot do a copy and paste, but if you do a couple of screen shots and plop into Word or paint, then you can retype.
Scroll down the page, past the ads, and you will find a variety of legal templates, which can be copied and pasted into Word: http://www.free-legal-document.com/how-to-write-a-will.html

The Library buys from Nolo press. :)
No, it is not free, but your library might have it, or be able to get it for you.
Thanks... Nolo isn't free, at least online... am I missing something?
sorry, it's not free, you are right.
But used versions on Amazon are practically free, under $5

Thanks! Got one.
Where did you get one? I've used online legal forms (http://www.rocketlawyer.com/legal-documents-forms.rl) before with Rocket Lawyer and was going to suggest using them, but I'm a day too late!
